Your reliable partner in apparel sourcing and supply chain management

At Dress Gallery, we believe that premium quality must go hand-in-hand with responsibility. We ensure our supply chain meets the highest global standards for environmental protection and ethical labor.

In the modern apparel industry, sustainability is no longer just about using eco-friendly materials; it is defined by traceability, the ability to track every stage of a garment’s journey from the raw fiber source to the finished product. By implementing a robust chain of custody through standards like GOTS or GRS, brands can provide a transparent “digital passport” for their clothing, proving that environmental and social regulations were met at every farm, gin, and dye house. This level of oversight eliminates the “blind spots” in global supply chains, allowing companies to verify organic claims, ensure fair labor practices, and build authentic trust with conscious consumers who demand to know exactly who made their clothes and how they impacted the planet.

In Dress Gallery, we maintain strong traceability for all sustainable products and help our vendors and customers if needed.

Sustainability

Dress Gallery provides tailored sustainable sourcing and manufacturing services for retailers and importers with 100% quality ensured according to customers requirements.

Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS)

The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is the leading worldwide standard for organic cotton. Based on both ecological and social criteria, it guarantees that cotton is organically grown without the use of genetically modified seeds or hazardous chemicals.

It also ensures traceability from post-harvesting of the raw material to the final customer, including transaction certificates at every stage of production. We offer GOTS-certified products by Control Union CU 819434, each labelled individually.

Organic Content Standard (OCS)

This standard verifies the presence and amount of organic material in our final products. It provides a clear chain of custody, ensuring that the organic fiber we claim is actually in the clothes you wear.

Global Recycled Standard (GRS)

The Global Recycled Standard (GRS) is the world's leading standard for recycled textiles. The standard applies to the full supply chain and addresses traceability, environmental principles, social requirements, chemical content, and labelling. All the recycled cotton, recycled polyester, and recycled nylon we use is GRS certified by Control Union CU 819434.

Recycled Claim Standard (RCS)

The Recycled Claim Standard (RCS) is a global, voluntary standard that sets the requirements for third-party certification of recycled input and chain of custody. Its primary goal is to increase the use of recycled materials by providing companies with a tool to verify the recycled content of their products. Unlike the Global Recycled Standard (GRS), which includes additional social and environmental processing requirements, the RCS focuses specifically on the integrity of the material as it moves through the supply chain. This ensures that when a brand claims a garment is made with recycled fibers, the claim is backed by a transparent and documented journey from the initial recycler to the final retail item.

OEKO – TEX

Standard 100 by OEKO-TEX® is one of the world's best-known standards for assessing harmful substances in fabrics. Our certification confirms that Dress Gallery products contain no chemical substances that are harmful to human health and the environment and guarantees that they comply with the EU REACH regulation. Standard 100 also prohibits certain potentially harmful substances even where these are not yet legally banned.

Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC)

The Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) is a leading global alliance of national forest certification systems that promotes sustainable forest management through independent third-party certification. In the context of apparel, PEFC plays a critical role in the sourcing of man-made cellulosic fibers (MMCF)—such as viscose, lyocell, and modal—by ensuring that the wood pulp used is harvested from forests managed with respect for biodiversity, local ecosystems, and workers' rights. By maintaining a rigorous Chain of Custody (CoC), PEFC allows brands to verify that their wood-based textiles are legally sourced and free from deforestation, providing a transparent link from the forest floor to the fashion hanger.

Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)

The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is an international non-profit organization that sets the "gold standard" for responsible forest management. For the textile and apparel industry, FSC certification ensures that wood-based fibers—such as viscose, rayon, and lyocell—are sourced from forests that are managed to protect biodiversity, indigenous rights, and local ecosystems while remaining economically viable. By following a strict Chain of Custody (CoC) process, the FSC tracks the material from the forest to the final garment, giving brands and consumers the confidence that their clothing does not contribute to deforestation or the destruction of high-conservation-value areas.

LENZING

Lenzing AG is a world-leading provider of specialty fibers made from the renewable raw material wood. In the apparel industry, Lenzing is renowned for its innovative and circular production processes, most notably through its flagship brands TENCEL™, LENZING™ ECOVERO™, and VEOCEL™. Unlike traditional viscose, Lenzing’s fibers are produced using highly efficient closed-loop systems that recover and reuse water and up to 99% of processing solvents. By sourcing wood from certified and controlled forests (FSC® or PEFC™), Lenzing ensures that its materials are fully biodegradable and compostable. For your brand incorporating Lenzing fibers represents a commitment to premium quality, high breathability, and a significantly lower carbon footprint compared to generic alternatives.

Masters of FLAX FIBRE

Masters of Linen® (often associated with the European Flax™ certification) represents the pinnacle of premium, sustainable linen production. This certification guarantees that the flax used in your garments is grown exclusively in Western Europe—primarily France, Belgium, and the Netherlands—where the unique climate and centuries of expertise produce the world’s finest fibers. Flax is naturally a "low-impact" crop, requiring no irrigation and minimal chemical inputs. The Masters of Linen® seal ensures a 100% European supply chain, from the field to the yarn and fabric, promoting local craftsmanship and a transparent carbon footprint. By choosing these fibers your brand can offers a product that is not only breathable and durable but also supports a circular, GMO-free, and zero-waste agricultural tradition.

Better Cotton Initiative (BCI)

The Better Cotton Initiative (BCI), now known simply as Better Cotton, is the world’s largest cotton sustainability program, dedicated to making global cotton production better for the people who produce it and the environment it grows in. By training millions of farmers in more sustainable farming practices, the initiative focuses on reducing the use of harmful pesticides, optimizing water efficiency, and improving soil health and biodiversity. At Dress Gallery BD, we support this transition through a "Mass Balance" chain of custody system, which ensures that our investment in Better Cotton directly funds field-level training and local community development. While the physical fibers may be mixed with conventional cotton during processing, the volume we source is tracked and verified, signaling a clear market demand for a future where sustainable cotton is the industry standard.

Jeanologia & EIM Scores

Jeanologia is a global leader in sustainable textile technology, best known for its Environmental Impact Measuring (EIM) software. This digital tool is the industry standard for evaluating the footprint of garment finishing, specifically in denim. It calculates a numerical score based on four critical pillars: water consumption, energy use, chemical impact, and worker health. By inputting a specific washing "recipe"—the exact sequence of steps used to achieve a vintage look or soft feel—the software benchmarks the process against strict environmental thresholds. A score of 0–33 is classified as Low Impact (Green), 34–66 as Medium Impact (Orange), and above 66 as High Impact (Red). We Dress Gallery BD, utilizing EIM scores provides a data-driven way to prove that your "sustainable" denim is truly saving resources.

Sustainable Washing Processes is one of the most resource-heavy processes in fashion, but Jeanologia technologies allow for a radical reduction in impact:Laser Technology (Dry Process): Instead of manual scraping or hazardous Potassium Permanganate (PP) spraying to create faded areas, high-precision lasers are used. This eliminates chemical exposure for workers and reduces the "worker health" impact score to zero.G2 Ozone (Atmospheric Washing): Traditionally, "bleaching" requires huge amounts of water and toxic chemicals. Ozone technology uses air from the atmosphere to achieve the same worn look, significantly lowering the water and chemical scores by using oxygen instead of chlorine.e-Flow (Nano-bubble Technology): This process uses air to transport chemicals and softeners onto the garment in the form of "nano-bubbles" rather than soaking them in water baths. This can reduce water usage by up to 95% and energy consumption by 40%.Smart Stones: To achieve a "stonewashed" effect without the environmental damage of pumice stones (which create toxic sludge and damage machines), Jeanologia uses synthetic abrasives or enzyme-based solutions that keep the chemical and water scores within the "Green" zone.
